The burning question*: Are Penguins chocolate bars or biscuits?
WE KNOW HOW you feel. It’s Monday, you have the whole week ahead and you have a lot on your plate.
So do like we do here in TheJournal.ie HQ and get stuck into a serious debate on one of life’s most pressing issues.
Possibly.
This week: Wednesday is National Biscuit Day and the people over at 11850 decided to find out which biscuits are the nation’s favourite. Controversially, Penguins came in sixth.
It started a fierce argument at DailyEdge.ie HQ and on Twitter.
One person tweeted that it must be a chocolate bar because “otherwise you’d start destroying an entire, wonderful genre including Club Milks, 54321s and Purple Snack Bars. Meanwhile, someone from TheJournal.ie went with the old Jaffa Cake argument that Penguins are kept in the biscuit aisle of supermarkets and are, therefore, biscuits.
So, help us sort this one out once and for all. What, exactly, is a Penguin?
A. A chocolate bar, or
YouTube Screengrab from this 1970s ad.
B. A biscuit
Dixie Julep
