THE CARLOW ROSE, Shauna Ray Lacey, is certainly social media’s frontrunner for the crown following her refreshingly honest interview.
Daithí initially referred to her as the ‘Mammy Rose’, but she was so much more than that.
Shauna spoke of finding out that she was pregnant at 21, and how the loss of her father affected her.
Her parents were both heroin addicts, and she spoke with compassion about how kind and hardworking her late father was, despite his addiction.
Her mother, a recovering addict, was in the audience to support her. Shauna spoke about how her parents influenced her decision to work with charities that support addicts and their families.
Her daughter Emmy was also the most adorable person in the Dome
She then sang a rendition of Aslan’s Crazy World, telling us that her father used to sing it to her when she was young
People thought she was one of the most relevant and real contestant the show has ever seen
