The 'Taylor Swifts of the world' are being dragged for keeping schtum over Trump... it's The Dredge

It’s your daily dose of celeb dirt.

Nine Inch Nails frontman thinks the ‘Taylor Swifts of the world’ should be doing more

Some artists have been vocal in their disdain for the Trump Administration, and others, well, others have kept schtum.

One such artist is Taylor Swift, who has refused to engage in politically-charged discussion over the last number of years.

And 90s icon, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, has something to say about it.

Speaking to The New York Times, the musician said that he felt his influence back in the day was something to be used for the greater good, and he’s just not seeing that in today’s generation of performers because they’re more concerned with their brand.

I was doing press with somebody in the mid-90s and they made an argument that stayed with me: that I have influence, and that it’s my job to call out whatever needs to be called out, because there are people who feel the same way, but need someone to articulate it.

And then he came for Taylor…

You don’t hear a lot from the Taylor Swifts of the world, and top-tier, needle-moving cultural youth because they are concerned about their brand, their demographic and their success and career and whatnot.

Taylor, your move.

Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong reportedly had a furious row prior to car crash

Back in March, Ant McPartlin was arrested and charged with drink-driving after he collided with two cars in Richmond, South West London.

The TV presenter, who has sought treatment for alcohol and substance abuse in recent years, was suspended from his work commitments, fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months.

This week, reports have emerged that Ant had had an extremely heated exchange with his ex-wife over the custody of their dog shortly before getting behind the wheel.

A source close to the former couple said:

Lisa was at home with her dad when Ant rang. The conversation quickly got heated – it was to do with who should have Hurley next, as they are meant to be sharing custody. It quickly descended into angry words and swearing between them.

According to the insider, Lisa’s father brought the conversation to a close.

At one point, Lisa’s dad took the phone out of Lisa’s hand and firmly told Ant, ‘Don’t you dare speak to my daughter like that.’

Lisa has recently expressed her upset over claims that Ant has moved on to a new relationship with his PA.

Kristin Bell isn’t too comfortable with the idea she’s part of a ‘power couple’

People love Kristin Bell and Dax Shepard. And to be fair, as celebrity couples go, they’re pretty relatable. We mean, they’ve admitted they’ve caught pin worms off their children, for Christ’s sake.

So when they hear themselves called a ‘power couple’, they, understandably, balk at the description.

During a screening for The Good Place last night, Kristin was told that Ted Danson had used the term, and she seemed pretty stunned.

In what regard? What a high compliment coming from him and Mary. I don’t know what we have power over. It’s certainly not each other, or our children. We don’t feel powerful.

We’re really just getting by. We feel, you know, vulnerable just as much as everyone else does. We talk a lot about our vulnerabilities.

Never change guys.
