Ariana Grande says we’ve all been pronouncing her name incorrectly

While appearing on the Apple Music show, Beats 1, in recent days, Ariana Grande revealed that everyone – including herself – has been mispronouncing her surname.

During a conversation on whether she plans to take Pete Davidson’s name once they tie the knot, the singer revealed that while that was very likely, she’s more concerned with how she pronounces her current surname.

‘My grandpa said ‘Grandey’,’ she told host, Ebro Darden.

Naturally, Ebro then wondered whether the rest of us should be saying ‘Grandey’

Well, my brother kind of changed it to ‘Grahn-day’ because like ‘Grandey’ was kind of like the, like, I guess Americanised version of it, you know? It made it more, like, chill whatever.

And then it all got turned on its head.

And then my brother was like ‘We should say ‘Grahn-day’. It’s so fun to say it. It’s like funny, it’s a funny name.’

Ariana, who thinks the current pronunciation is almost joke-like, bizarrely compared herself to a pizza and meatball, saying it sounded like a special at a restaurant.

And it sounds like she’d be fairly happy to change it back.

I grew up saying ‘Grandey’ and I think of my grandpa and I wish I said ‘Grandey’ more.

Vogue Williams took to Instagram last night to share the first photo of her wedding to Spencer Matthews in a post which has amassed more than 30,000 likes.

The couple tied the knot in June of this year, and Hello! magazine documented the proceedings in the latest edition of the publication.

Uploading the cover to Instagram, Vogue captioned the shot: The best day of my life’.

32-year-old Vogue is expecting her first child in September.

Recalling a time she had to complete a form as a teenager, Meghan was confronted with a question which required her to pick one of the following options; ‘White’, ‘Black’ or ‘Asian’.

Given the fact she considers herself biracial, Meghan told her father there was no box for her to pick – something which paved the way for a moment which the former Suits actress said she will never forget.

It made the green of his eyes pop and his brow was weighted at the thought of his daughter being prey to ignorance. And in one of those parenting moments that no guidebook could ever prep you for, my dad said words that will stay with me forever: ‘Draw your own box’.

Meghan added:

He wanted me to see beyond that census placed in front of me. He wanted me to find my own truth.
