Tracy Chapman has filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj is in hot water after Grammy Award-winning folk artist, Tracy Chapman, filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against her in federal court.

The suit, which was filed in a LA court, claims Minaj used a sample of Chapman’s Baby Can I Hold You without permission.

It is understood that Chapman consistently turned down requests from Minaj’s camp to permit the use of the sample on Minaj’s unreleased track, Sorry.

However, it is alleged that elements were incorporated in to the track, regardless.

While the track was not included in Minaj’s Queen album, it was reportedly provided to a DJ at New York’s Hot 97 station, who played it on air and released it on social media channels.

The 1975′s Matt Healy said he fears he’s glamourised drug use

In a recent interview with Q magazine, the 1975 frontman, Matt Healy, said he was conflicted between concealing his drug use and being honest while speaking to the press.

He ultimately chose to be open about his addiction in interviews and song lyrics, but fears it may glamourised drug use.

Explaining  himself to the publication, he said:

I feel like a w**ker. But it was either that or keep lying and feel like a w**ker anyway.

After reflecting on the deaths of Mac Miller and Lil Peep, Matt said he hopes it highlights the danger of drug use.

I hope each one scares the s**t out of everybody. It’s not a f**king game!

Matt recently completed a stint in a rehabilitation facility in Barbados.
