EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.
Ariana Grande covered up Pete Davidson tattoo with tribute to Mac Miller
Back in July when Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson were the most talked-about couple in the entertainment industry, the singer got a tribute to Pete’s father inked on her foot.
Pete’s father was a firefighter who died in 9/11, and Ariana’s tattoo was a nod to his badge number: 8418.
However, since Pete and Ariana called off their engagement in October, it looks like the ‘thank u, next’ singer has been reconsidering her body art, and has chosen to cover the tribute with one dedicated to her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.
In place of 8418, Ariana’s foot now sports the word ‘Myron’, the name of Mac’s dog, who Ariana adopted following Mac’s death.
Ariana brought her fans’ attention to the cover-up in footage filmed behind the scenes of her latest music video, saying: “Look at my Myron [tattoo]. Guys, look. How cool right?”
A spokesperson for the Royal Family has addressed rift rumours
Over the course of the last week, rumours have been rife that all is not well between the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Talk of tears and recriminations have filled articles, and it sounds like the Royal Family are keen to quash the gossip.
Responding to the report that a furious Kate Middleton had criticised Meghan Markle’s attitude towards the staff, Kensington Palace said: “This never happened.”
Sure, it’s not exactly lengthy, but given the fact the Royal Family very, very rarely respond to rumours, it’s an insight into their take on the narrative surrounding Kate and Meghan.
Simon Cowell clearly isn’t impressed by Fleur East right now
Simon Cowell got a dig in at former X Factor contestant Fleur East’s participation in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here while chatting to X Factor finalist Scarlett Lee.
During The X Factor final this weekend, Simon made his feelings towards Fleur clear when praising Scarlett’s performance.
In a fairly unsubtle comment, Simon told Scarlett:
I don’t want you in the jungle in two years drinking worm juice. I want you either on Broadway, West End, [or] selling records.
Loud and clear, Simon. Loud and clear.
