Ellen Page has called Chris Pratt out on his church’s stance on LGBTQ community
Last week, Chris Pratt appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where he discussed his church, the teachings of his pastor and the impact it has had on his life.
Following his appearance, Ellen Page took to Twitter and made reference to the church – Zoe Church which is reportedly modelled on Hillsong Church – and questioned its anti-LGBTQ stance.

“Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously anti lgbtq so maybe address that too?” she wrote alongside an article which discussed Chris’ ‘spiritual side’.
In 2015, Brian Houston, Hillsong’s global senior pastor, released a statement after two of its male choir member wed, saying the church’s position on homosexuality is ‘consistent with Scripture’.
“Hillsong Church welcomes ALL people but does not affirm all lifestyles. Put clearly, we do not affirm a gay lifestyle and because of this we do not knowingly have actively gay people in positions of leadership, either paid or unpaid,” reads a statement on their website.
On Saturday, Ellen then reinforced her thoughts on this one by insisting Chris shouldn’t be surprised that people might be keen to question why he belongs to a church, which has taken such a stance.
“Being anti LGBTQ is wrong, there aren’t two sides. The damage it causes is severe. Full stop. Sending love to all.”
Ellen’s tweet has been liked 188,000 times since its upload.

Michelle Rodriquez has apologised for her defence of Liam Neeson
At this stage, we all know what Liam Neeson said during a recent interview promoting his latest film.
And while debate raged back and forth over the remarks, Michelle Rodriguez insisted that Liam couldn’t possibly be racist as he had just recently kissed Viola Davis as part of his role on the film Widows.

If you found yourself utterly baffled by Michelle’s defence of the actor, you’re not alone.
As such, the actress has apologised for the example she used when attempting to defend Liam against criticism.
“To my friends and colleagues and my fans and community: I want to deeply apologize for my recent choice of words, and poor use of example, “she began a post on Instagram.
“I have learned from this, and will grow from it. One Love, MRod,” she concluded.

And on that note, Spike Lee won’t be calling on Liam Neeson any time soon
While speaking on The Andrew Marr Show yesterday, acclaimed director, Spike Lee, could be seen trying to make sense of the actor’s comments.

“I know he’s Catholic. Is this a form of confession?” Spike asked, ahead of the ceremony which saw him secure a Bafta for BlacKkKlansman.
Naturally, Spike was asked whether he intended to work alongside Liam in the future, given that he once mentioned asting Liam in a potential project.
On this occasion, Spike replied in the negative.
However, he made a point of saying the decision was based on financial factors as well as the actor’s age.
And in the rest of the day’s dirt
