The Dredge: Which pop star doesn't stand his round?

He’d never last in Ireland. That and all the rest of the day’s celebrity duuuuurrrrt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt – from the top to the very bottom.

#IT’S YOUR ROUND:   The lads from The Wanted were only delighted when Justin Bieber expressed an interest in working with them. (Mirror)

Apparently they’re working together on an ‘edgy new track’ for the band’s new album, and when the Biebz was in London recently he suggested they meet for a pint.

The lads were a little embarrassed because they were in a bit of a grotty pub but Justin insisted on joining them.

But he insisted to join us. He turned up and bought himself a beer – but he didn’t buy me one the little so-and-so.

He’s got a lot to learn about how we operate on this side of the world.  He wouldn’t last a minute in our local.

#KIMLOCK HOLMES:  Kim Kardashian clearly sees herself as some kind of super sleuth, because if reports are to be believed she’s been up to some detective work. (The Sun)

After the birth of baby North, Kim decided to send some fake photographs to her friends in order to see if she could trust them.

If the photos surfaced in the media, she’d know that someone had betrayed her.

Unfortunately, someone has already tried to sell them to American outlet TMZ.

Stay tuned for the next episode of Kim K: Friend Detective

#HI HO SILVER:   Johnny Depp plays Tonto in a new film version of the Lone Ranger, and there has been a bit of controversy around that fact. (The Sun)

Some Americans have complained that it is offensive to have someone who is not a Native American play the role, but Johnny has fought back by speaking about the preparation he did for the role.

He immersed himself with the Comanche tribe, who are based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was ‘adopted’ by one of the tribe members.

He took part in a private naming ceremony and was given the name Mah-Woo-Meh.

The name they chose for me means shape-shifter, which I suppose is quite apt and I take great pride in the choice. Being adopted, what it means and what it’s meant since that day, has given me so much in my life.

It’s a very satisfying name to say (try it there, it really is), and we reckon he should start using it full time.

And the rest of the day’s dirt:

  • Zayn Malik made his mother cry. (Mirror)
  • The original Luke and Leia have been told to slim down for the new Star Wars film. (The Sun)
  • Damian Lewis of Homeland no longer has hair. (Buzzfeed)
  • Harry Styles learned that if you want something done right, you should do it yourself. (Twitter)
