YESTERDAY, THE ECONOMIST decided that it was time to get to the bottom of one of the great questions plaguing our generation: why aren’t millennials buying diamonds?
Great question, The Economist. Perhaps it’s because diamonds are bloody expensive and most millennials have no cause or reason to purchase one?
Also, out of everything affecting millennials right now — sky-high rents, dwindling salaries, lack of certainty about anything — we can assure you that not being able to afford diamonds doesn’t keep us up at night.
