Why is #irishstrippersyoureoverpriced trending on Twitter?

It’s because of a group of Australians called the Janoskians.

DID IT TAKE you a minute to figure out what that hashtag actually said?  Us too.  Hashtags should not be that long.

Anyway, too long or not, that is one of the things currently trending on Twitter and it’s because of an Australian group called the Janoskians.

Yes, that’s an actual band name.  It stands for Just Another Name Of Silly Kids In Another Nation, and they are five guys who produce comedy videos and post them on YouTube.  They make mockumentaries, film themselves eating gross things, or playing pranks on the public (often involving things like sex and farting).

Great.

Anyway, they now have music too and are touring at the moment.

Tonight, they play the Olympia in Dublin but they arrived in Ireland yesterday.  Group members and brothers Luke  and Beau Brooks, aged 18 and 19 respectively, decided they’d like to spend some time with the city’s exotic dancers but were unimpressed with the prices.

Clearly, his 915,641 followers wanted a follow because hours later the hashtag was trending.

How absolutely charming.

UPDATE 15:00: Annnnnnd here are the girls queuing outside the Olympia for them since 5AM.
