THE LATE LATE Show is too long….so says the programme’s presenter Ryan Tubridy.
Speaking to the RTÉ Guide ahead of this Friday’s 50th anniversary celebrations, Tubridy said the show “sprawls at four parts. I don’t know anyone who could stay the course that long for a chat show.”
I’ll be honest, I reckon it’s too long by a part. It should be a three-part show, a lean mean fighting machine.
Normal operations will be suspended on Friday as Tubs is joined by his predecessors Gay Byrne and Pat Kenny to celebrate their 50 years presiding over the country’s longest-running chat show. Liam Neeson, Tommy Tiernan and Daniel O’Donnell will also be on hand to to mark the milestone.
What do you think about the show? Do you agree with Tubs, is the Late Late Show too long by a part?
