1. The new stage setup allowed Ryan Tubridy to get an Alan Partridge reference in.
He climbed right up on Glenn Ponder’s balcony and said “Knowing me Ryan Tubridy, knowing you Sophie Whelan. AHA!” Wow. And there are people out there who say that Ryan Tubridy couldn’t present a cat.
Mamma Mia! What a medley!

5. During the vehicle segment, Ryan was hit by a garda car.
After the collision, Ryan asked if this young garda wanted to say hello to anybody important. He replied, “Yeah”, before taking a long pause which left us all waiting for him to give a shoutout to Nóirín O’Sullivan. Thankfully, he just said hello to his friends at school. All set to the soundtrack of Chic, for anyone excited for a bit of Nile Rodgers this evening.
