THE SCRIPT, JANELLE Monae and Emeli Sandé will be among the acts playing in Ireland’s pubs for Arthur’s Day this year.
They will join Manic Street Preachers, Bobby Womack and James Vincent McMorrow in a series of ‘surprise’ small-scale concerts as part of the promotional event for Guinness.
Other Irish acts performing this year on Thursday September 26 include The Original Rudeboys, Girl Band and Bouts.
There will be five ticketed music events with tickets costing €10 each, as well as a number of smaller shows at pubs in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Belfast.
Proceeds of the event will go to the Arthur Guinness Projects initiative, where cultural projects battle for support to win funding.
