After cameos in Game of Thrones, Ed seems to be making it his mission to penetrate every visual and audio medium we have come to know and love.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ed will appear in the musical-themed episode Haw-Haw Land, a parody of La La Land. It marks the first episode of the animated show’s 29th season.

Ed first confirmed the news back in July via a very excited instagram post.

He plays a musician called Brendan who becomes Lisa Simpson’s love interest, and he’ll most definitely be singing during the episode.

Ed was reportedly approached by the creators when they discovered he had a tattoo of Blinky, the three eyed fish.

Executive producer Al Jean told EW:

We had a perfect part for him. So we said, ‘Oh, great, we’ll have him do this!’ And we recorded him over the phone from England.
