THERE’S A STRETCH of road in South Tipperary that’s well known to locals for having an absolutely spectacular view when you reach a particular point.
It’s called The Vee and and it’s panoramic heaven.
It’s named after the V-shape that the road takes that provides the gap for a stunning vista
It’s in the Knockmealdown mountains and it’s always worth stopping the car
Because there aren’t that many places with panoramic views of this quality
And the scenic Bay Lough is just around the corner
Making this area of South Tipp an absolute hotspot for the spectacular
According to this guide, the Vee comes into its own when it’s a fine day – of course:
On a clear day (or night) the Vee affords views along and across the valley to Clonmel, Cahir, Ardfinnan, Clogheen, Ballyporeen and even Cashel.
It’s almost impossible not to stop for a photo when nearly the whole county can be seen
A hidden treasure in Tipp that’s been stumbled upon by many on that road
And it always delivers for walkers and cyclists alike
Take it all in <3
