Played by Demi Isaac Oviawe and Jennifer Barry respectfully, the girls’ auditions tapes have been unearthed on YouTube for the public’s viewing pleasure.

There, we got to know a bit more about them – Jennifer is 17-years old. Born in Dublin, she’s been living in West Cork since she was three (hence the accent).

She’s attended Montfort College of Performing Arts, performing in the Cork Opera House and Firkin Crane.

Here she is giving out to Conor, as per.

She also perfectly describes what everyone wore to a teenage disco:

Ok, it’s like a skirt and a top and it’s got like lace-up boots, from Penneys, you know like the reduction side?”

Girl, same!

Meanwhile, Demi was born in Nigeria, but has been living in Ireland for 14+ years.

Before The Young Offenders, she’d starred in small productions of Beauty And The Beast, Grease and Sister Act.

Explaining Cork culture in her audition piece, she said Friday is the best day of the week for Cork people.

Friday is the day everyone goes gattin’, right, there’s a free gaff, you go gattin’, you get mouldy.”

Accurate.
