This 100-year-old Dublin bridge is for sale online

Yours for less than the price of a used car.

A DUBLIN BRIDGE crossed by thousands of tourists and residents over the decades is now for sale online.

The 12-metre (40ft) footbridge was used by pedestrians to cross the Tolka River in the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, before it was replaced by a newer structure in 2009.

It’s now sitting in Athlone, Co Westmeath, and apparently in the possession of an Adverts.ie user by the name of Blade Shooter – who is selling it for €7,500.

40FT long x 3.5FT wide Foot Bridge,Slight Arch.Over 100 years old and in excellent condition with no rust.

The advertiser is kindly offering to split delivery charges with any prospective buyer, and is now accepting questions about the bridge’s condition:

The old bridge, which ran between the main Gardens and the Rose Garden, was removed by construction firm FIMA in 2009 as part of restoration works.
