LISTEN, NEW YEAR’S Resolutions can be hard going. Between lack of money and the general sense of despair that permeates at this time of year, you can end up breaking them out of sheer boredom.
But what if you knew you’d committed to your resolution, in writing, to yourself? Or maybe you’d simply like to outline some goals for yourself and see what you can achieve in 365 days?
Enter, This Next Year.
This Next Year is a website that lets you write a letter, (well, email), to your future self. You input your name, what you work as, where you’d like to progress to, as well as your own personal interests and how you plan on pursuing in them in the year ahead.
For example, my own personal resolution is to start volunteering. So, I selected this and said that I would like to be doing something in that capacity at least once a month in 2019.
Come the new year, you’ll get your email sent to your inbox so you can see what you got up to. It’s like time travel, but much less sophisticated.
Will you be taking part in this virtual time capsule?
