TOM CRUISE AND KATIE Holmes are filing for divorce after five years of marriage.
Earlier today, People magazine spoke exclusively to the Holmes family lawyer who confirmed the split but said that it remains a “personal and private matter for Katie”.
The 49-year-old Mission Impossible star wed Holmes, who is 16 years his junior, in November 2006 at an Italian castle. They have a six-year-old daughter, Suri.
“Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children,” Cruise’s representative, Amanda Lundberg, told The Associated Press. “Please allow them their privacy to work this out.”
The break up has only just been revealed but people have already been talking frantically about it…
