Everyone’s talking about… The Handmaiden’s Tale

Elisabeth Moss, the star of The Handmaiden’s Tale, has landed herself in hot water after she said that the television series wasn’t feminist.

Moss made her remarks at a the show’s Tribeca Film Festival premiere.

I really echo what [castmate Madeline Brewer] said, honestly, for me it’s not a feminist story—it’s a human story, because women’s rights are human rights.

Margaret Atwood, who penned the novel on which the television series is based, had some suggestions for Moss.
