Tragic scenes in Temple Bar as tourists realise the pubs are closed
NOT ONLY IS today Good Friday, when the Lord himself was put up on the cross so that we could eat fish and wonder if the big Kinder Egg is worth it.
It’s also National Confused Tourists, Stag and Hen Party Day, when they arrive on the plane or boat into Dublin, desperate for a sup of the black stuff and a boogie to Galway Girl in Temple Bar, only to be greeted by closed pubs and this:
And this:
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
One of Dublin’s greatest concentration of tourists often happens at The Temple Bar pub in… er Temple Bar.
So, with just a smidge of schadenfreude we’ve been spying on them using Earth Cam, and picking out the most disappointed of the bunch.
This girl in black stamped her feet a bit
These girls checked the door several times, while these lads settled for a cheeky selfie
The girls headed off, beaten. The lads meanwhile, really went for it
This lad was disappointed, but at least he had his selfie stick
These girls stood in disbelief for at least 90 seconds, before wandering off, dejected
And these people took a picture of the sign telling them the pub was closed for the day. Precious memories
