An entire town learned sign language to give their deaf neighbour a heartwarming surprise
AS FAR AS advertising stunts go, this is just lovely. An entire town in Istanbul learned how to speak in sign language so they could communicate with a local man, Muharrem, and enable could experience a whole day without any barriers.
The stunt was coordinated and carried out by Samsung Turkey to promote their video calling initiative for people with hearing impairments.
According to PC Magazine, it took a month to plan and execute the event, with locals learning the language and installing cameras across the town.
It’s all worth it in the end for Muharrem’s teary reaction.
More of this, we say.
