Here’s why these brilliant painted traffic light boxes are popping up all over Dublin
BACK IN THE summer of 2015, a number of traffic light boxes around Dublin started appearing with some quality artwork on them.
And this summer the project has been ramped up on an even bigger scale.
Dublin Canvas is a community that allows artists to turn these boxes into BIG splashes of colour
And more and more are popping up all over the capital
85 are set to be added to the city this summer alone, each with a specific artist allocated to take care of a box
They even have a handy map outlining the boxes – yellow for the ones planned, and red for the completed

All of them look brilliantly colourful
Living up to their motto “Less grey, more play”
