VIDEO: Your weekend movies... The Purge: Anarchy
WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?
We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.
Earth to Echo
For fans of: Sci fi, kids getting their own back
Avoid if: You’re a bully
Kids with a penchant for mystery and sci-fi might enjoy this – a group of misfits find an alien creature out in the country… and discover a world beyond their tiny town. Oh, and a whole lot of trouble.
The Purge: Anarchy
Universal Pictures Universal Pictures
For fans of: Lawlessness
Avoid if: You crave security
We do love this concept (even if it is terrifying): for one night of the year, total lawlessness reigns. But what if the powers-that-be actually use the event as an excuse to rid the streets of ‘undesirables’, and if humans really were out to behave even worse than we could imagine?
Hercules: The Thracian Wars
For fans of: Big muscles
Avoid if: You can tell what the Rock is cookin’
Is that…? Yep, it’s The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, who plays Hercules. Though an adaptation of a Radical Comics series, this trailer looks a bit guff. Bonus points for Queens of The Stone Age on the soundtrack however.
