WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?
We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.
Diana
(moviescomingsoon/YouTube)
For fans of: Royals, tragedy
Avoid if: You’re not a made-for-TV romance kind of person
The last two years of Princess Diana’s life are explored in this film… it promises to show you the story behind the headlines, but it also looks a bit like a made-for-TV movie. We’re nonplussed about its authenticity.
- RottenTomatoes.com critics rating: 8 per cent. Audience rating:78 per cent want to see
Kelly + Victor
(TheWorksTrailers/YouTube)
For fans of: Doomed love
Avoid if: You’re a fan of gentle love-making
First things first: this is not a first date OR a ‘bring a parent to the movies’ film, so heed our advice. Kelly and Victor meet each other on a Liverpool dance floor, but it’s when they get into bed that the sparks really fly.
- RottenTomatoes.com critics rating: No rating yet. Audience rating: 100 per cent want to see
RIPD
(Universal Pictures/YouTube)
For fans of: Ryan Reynolds, seeing dead people, cops
Avoid if: You want to remember Ryan at his best
This all looks rather silly – a cop gets killed and winds up working as a policeman in the RIP (Rest in Peace, natch) Department. But if you can suspend disbelief for 90 minutes, you could rather enjoy Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds’ over-the-top performances.
- RottenTomatoes.com critics rating: 12 per cent. Audience rating: 40 per cent
