Miracle escape from speeding train caught on CCTV
FOOTAGE HAS BEEN released of a man who narrowly escaped death when he apparently failed to see an oncoming train.
The CCTV clip shows the 20-year-old waiting for one train to pass at a staion, then crossing the tracks apparently unaware of a second train hurtling towards him in the other direction:
The clip was uploaded by Queensland Rail following a court case over the near-miss at Cannon Hill station in Brisbane.
The man was fined AUD$2,200 (€1,500) for pushing through the pedestrian barriers, according to 9News. He was not seriously injured.
