Die-hard fans of the comedy show had their hopes raised (and subsequently dashed) after rumours began circulating in recent days that David Walliams and Matt Lucas were planning to reunite and pen some new material.
However, it turns out the reports had no grounding in reality.
Taking to Twitter to clarify the matter, Matt Lucas said fans could ‘ignore’ the story.
