What to watch on TV tonight: Friday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Late Late Show Valentine’s Special (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
Romance is in the air as Ryan Tubridy once again brings singletons from all over Ireland to the RTÉ studios for a love-filled evening of fun. It’ll be hard to top last year’s proposal (yeah, that’s a story for the kids), but rest assured there’ll be innuendos and awkward exchanges galore. Will Tubs be heading to Coppers after? If Cupid has anything to do with it, all signs point to yes.
The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 11.05pm)
The host reviews trending news stories before inviting Patrick Stewart to discuss fantasy adventure The Kid Who Would Be King and Ricky Gervais to reflect on his dark new sitcom After Life. Chiwetel Ejiofor, director and star of the inspiring The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, also guests, alongside Regina King, Oscar-nominated for her performance in If Beale Street Could Talk. Plus, Jack Savoretti performs his latest single Candlelight, and another bunch of intrepid audience members attempt to recount an anecdote from the dreaded red chair.
Miss You Already (RTÉ Two, 9.45pm)
Romantic comedy drama, starring Drew Barrymore, Toni Collette, Dominic Cooper and Paddy Considine. Best friends Milly and Jess have been inseparable since they were young girls, but they find their relationship is put to the test when one of them starts a family and the other receives devastating news.
Everyone’s talking about: Game of Thrones
The first photos of season 8 have been released, and as you can image there’s a lot of brooding going on.
