What to watch on TV tonight: Monday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Say Yes To The Dress (RTÉ Two, 9.30pm)
Ireland’s version of this popular show is finally here and has none other than the Irish king of weddings himself, Peter ‘Franc’ Kelly, on presenting duties. He will meet three brides-to-be at Cork’s Vows bridal store, where he helps them pick the perfect gowns for their big days. Family in-fighting over someone else’s clothes makes for great telly!
George Michael: Freedom (Channel 4, 9pm)
Your chance to see this much-anticipated documentary about George Michael that was filmed right up until his sudden death last December. Narrated by the singer himself, it charts his life and career, focusing on the period around the release of his 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1. The star opens his heart about his great love and loss, as well as the well-documented High Court battle with his record label. There is also personal archive and home footage with contributions by Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ricky Gervais, Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Liam Gallagher and Mary J Blige.
Salon Confidential (RTÉ Two, 10pm)
From personal problems to comments on the state of the nation, the series acts as a fly-on-the-wall observer to the conversations you have with your hairdresser.
It features a group of recurring hairdressers, barbers and a make-up artist, who solve not only their clients’ bad hair days but also their daily dilemmas. Each episode poses four big questions to the salon floor, inspiring a range of opinions from old and young, urban and rural, middle-class and working class.
