DAILYEDGE.IE ROUNDS UP the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Late Late Show Country Special (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
No sign of the yodelling Walmart kid unfortunately, but plenty of other celebs will be cropping up tonight. Gloria will perform her hit song One Day at a Time, and Ronan Keating will be discussing the country origins of his massive solo single ‘When You Say Nothing At All’. Plus, a huge opening number and a tribute to the late Big Tom. Yee-haw, indeed.
The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 10.35pm)
The host reviews trending news stories before catching up with Oscar-nominee Benedict Cumberbatch, who is playing Dr Strange in Avengers: Infinity War, Matt LeBlanc, who is playing himself in the final series of BBC Two’s Episodes, and actress Maxine Peake who discusses her role as a ’70s club comedian in Funny Cow. Plus, Mary Berry and Claudia Winkleman talk about new BBC One show Britain’s Best Cook. Calvin Harris performs his new single One Kiss alongside Dua Lipa, while another bunch of intrepid audience members attempts to recount an anecdote from the dreaded red chair.
The Next Three Days (Tv3, 9.00pm)
A professor’s wife is imprisoned for murdering her boss. Her distraught husband desperately tries to prove her innocence, but every attempt to get her released by legal means fails. When he learns she is contemplating suicide, he seeks the aid of a notorious prison escapee in organising a break-out. Drama, starring Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks and Liam Neeson.
