What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Apprentice (BBC One, 9.00pm)
The candidates are challenged to set up their own urban gardening business, carrying out a series of commercial and domestic jobs across London. Day one sees both Project Managers visit corporate clients to pitch a plan and secure a price for a large rooftop renovation. The following day, an inability to attach a hose to a tap leads to a sinking feeling for one duo, and a rooftop renovation leaves one corporate team digging an enormous hole for themselves.
Grand Designs: House of the Year (Channel 4, 9.00pm)
Kevin McCloud, architect Damion Burrows and design expert Michelle Ogundehin visit five more inspiring homes in the running for the 2018 Royal Institute of British Architects House of the Year, including an old Victorian gin distillery in east London transformed into a remarkable modern home, and a turn-of-the-century farmhouse in Devon given new life mixing the traditional with the contemporary. The team also visit a Grade II listed house in Bath, a derelict farmhouse over 400 years old, and a house with a mirrored library at its centre.
Gogglebox Ireland (Virgin Media One, 9.00pm)
It’s the series finale of Gogglebox Ireland tonight. Sob. As always, Deirdre O’Kane provides the voiceover as the Irish telly addicts pass comment on the week’s programmes from the comfort of their living rooms.
Everyone’s talking about: The Inbetweeners
The cast are reuniting for a one-off anniversary show on Channel 4.
The principal cast – Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison – are set to reunite in December to look back over the series that shot them to fame.
The two-hour special will feature unheard stories and contributions from celebrity fans.
In some other telly related news, Cardi B and Chance The Rapper will act as judges on a new Netflix competitive music show, Rhythm + Flow. Intriguing! Imagine judges’ houses over at Cardi’s gaff.
