Safe At Last: Inside A Woman’s Refuge (Channel 4, 10.00pm)

Filmed over a year, cameras follow women as they flee from violent partners. Narrated by Julie Walters, this is also the story of a refuge struggling for the money to stay open.

American Sniper (RTÉ Two, 9.00pm)

A Navy Seal becomes a legend to his colleagues thanks to his skills as a deadly sniper, but he finds living an ordinary life as a husband and father difficult to deal with. Biopic based on the experiences of real-life Iraq conflict veteran Chris Kyle, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller and Kyle Gallner.

Home Of The Year (RTÉ One, 8.30pm)

Architect Robert Logan designed his own home and his parents’ next door. He lives with wife Julie and two daughters in a self-build modern Antrim farmhouse. His property is one of three assessed by judges Hugh Wallace, Deirdre Whelan and Peter Crowley, along with abodes in Dublin and Down.
