What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Missing You (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

This touching documentary series follows Irish emigrants as they maintain relationships with their loved ones at home in Ireland. Ought to strike a chord with anyone missing people away from home. #missingyou

The Week the Landlords Moved In (BBC One, 9pm)

A series in which landlords become tenants in one of their own rentals for a week and get a taste of their own medicine. We know some Irish landlords who could do with having a go on it. *eyes emoji*

The Windsors (Channel 4, 10pm)

This highly amusing comedy, which satirises the Royal Family, returns for a second season. Expect gags about Prince Philip and Megan Markle aplenty.

Everyone’s talking about… Blue Peter

A recent episode of the long-running children’s show reportedly attracted a “zero rating”.

Per the Daily Mail:

A repeat of the show aired at 2.30pm on Tuesday June 13 got a dreaded ‘zero’ rating on the official system used to measure TV audiences. The lacklustre episode featured children’s author Anthony Horowitz launching a spy competition and a visit from children’s laureate Chris Riddell.

PAH!

Kids today. They know nothing.

BBC has stood by the programme and described it as a ‘national institution’.

CBBC controller Cheryl Taylor said: ‘I challenge any naysayers to check out last week’s enthralling episode on iPlayer if they have any doubts at all about its value and enduring appeal to the curious and clued-up CBBC audience.’
