What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Sharknado (Pick, 10pm)

The famously hilarious, Tara Reid-starring made-for-TV movie about a tornado full of sharks is BACK. And it’s just as bitey as ever. Sharknado 2 is just around the corner – so pour yourself a nice glass of something and enjoy this ludicrous spectacle. #sharknado

Celebrity Masterchef (BBC1, 8.30pm)

It’s the final tonight, and the three remaining contestants – former EastEnders actress Sophie Thompson, model Jodie Kidd and adventurer Charley Boorman – will be sweating it out over their pots. Don’t let it drip in the souffle, lads. #bbcmc #mc

Callan’s Kicks (RTE One, 9.35pm)

Oliver Callan’s topical sketch show is back for its second week in the Late Late Show’s primetime slot. Will it get people chuckling on their sofas, or will it go the way of the unfortunate Green Tea? Maybe watch and find out. #callanskicks

Everybody’s talking about: ANOTHER Breaking Bad spin-off

Charles Sykes Charles Sykes

An avid Breaking Bad fan has set up a Kickstarter seeking funding for a Breaking Bad spin-off picking up where the original series finished. Why? Because he wasn’t happy with the ending, that’s why.

The proposed series, called Anastasia, will star Val Kilmer (yes) and Slash from Guns ‘n’ Roses (playing himself, but as an undercover cop) as two US marshals who drag Walter White’s body out of the meth lab where the original series ended. Creator Lawrence Shepherd is looking for $500,000 to get it off the ground.

However, he’s already run into some opposition:

Or flick over for…

  • The Village That’s Falling Into The Sea (BBC1, 7.30pm) Documentary about Hemsby in Norfolk, which literally fell into the sea (at least partially) last year.
  • Dirty Harry (ITV4, 9pm) Do you feel lucky, punk?
  • Sound City (BBC4, 11pm) Dave Grohl-made documentary about the legendary recording studio in LA.
  • Friday Night Dinner (Channel 4, 10pm) Latest episode of the well-received comedy.
