What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

BOD on the Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Brian O’Driscoll goes on the Late Late tonight, seemingly as part of a continuing effort to prove himself Ireland’s Soundest Man. It’s unlikely that he will drop any searing gossip about either Amy Huberman or the Ireland rugby squad, but everyone will be watching anyway. He’s joined by Dominic West, aka McNulty from The Wire. #latelate

Lena Dunham on Graham Norton (BBC One, 11.10pm)

The Girls star takes to Graham’s couch this evening as part of a frankly impressive roster including Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. But it’s likely to be Lena who generates the biggest Twitter outcry. #grahamnorton

Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm)

The show that needs no introduction. Just solid, great telly. #gogglebox

On the other chat show:

Alan Carr: Chatty Man (Channel 4, 10pm) Elijah Wood, Naomi Campbell, Dermot O’Leary and Paloma Faith.

Everybody’s talking about: Roy Keane on I’m A Celebrity

John Walton John Walton

Roy Keane revealed in an interview with Shortlist magazine that he’d been approached to go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. He turned the offer down – snubbing a €500,000 payday, according to the Irish Sun – saying:

I met the jungle people, but I thought, nah, not for me.

However, Keane refused to rule out a future appearance eating kangaroo penis (or whatever). “Who knows?” he said. “There’s more to life than football.”

Or flick over for:

  • Sharknado (Pick, 9pm) The movie that almost relaunched Tara Reid’s career.
  • Goth at the BBC (BBC Four, 10pm) Season-appropriate history of the Goth aesthetic, with heaps of archive performances from the Beeb.
  • Paranormal Activity (UTV, 11.40pm) Looking for a scare? This will deliver.
  • Have I Got News For You (BBC One, 9pm) Former Homeland star Damian Lewis hosts.
