What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC1, 10.35pm)

Tonight is a big, shiny James Bond special, featuring *deep breath*: Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Christoph Waltz (the villain Franz Oberhauser), and the writer of the new Bond song, Sam Smith. #grahamnorton

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

We feel like you’ll want to watch tonight’s Late Late. It’s an Irish country music special! Come on! Daniel O’Donnell will be there, Big Tom will be there, Declan Nerney will be there, and we’ll eat our Stetsons if Nathan Carter doesn’t play Wagon Wheel. Honestly, we are excited. #latelate

IFTA Gala Television Awards (TV3, 9pm)

The glitzy IFTAs took place last night, and we’ll get to see all the goings-on later this evening. Amanda Byram presented, the who’s who of Irish showbiz were there, and Jedward wore very sparkly suits. #iftas

Everybody’s talking about: Cruel Intentions

Call Ryan Phillippe! The 90s classic Cruel Intentions is on its way to the small screen.

US network NBC is reportedly rebooting the film, with the story revolving around the son of Reese Witherspoon’s Annette and Phillippe’s Sebastian (the film never told us that Annette got pregnant, but OK, TV folks). Exciting.

Or flick over for…

  • TFI Friday (Channel 4, 8pm) Chris Evans has Justin Bieber, Dawn French, and Macklemore on the show. A bevvy of stars!
  • Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm) Still going strong, and as addictive as ever.
  • The Returned (More4, 9pm) The second season of this super creepy drama begins.
  • Knocked Up (ITV2, 9pm) Always on the telly, yet we ALWAYS forget how gross the birth scene is.
  • Alan Carr: Chatty Man (Channel 4, 10pm) Goldie Hawn and some other people who aren’t Goldie Hawn (comedian Katherine Ryan, Kaiser Chief Ricky Wilson) are on the couch.
