What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

It’s TOY SHOW TIME!

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Toy Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

CHRISTMAS HAS ARRIVED. Ryan Tubridy hosts the annual toy spectacular, along with a cast of very talented kiddies. This year’s set is inspired by The Little Mermaid, and Tubs will be dressing up as Sebastian the crab. LOL. #toyshow

The Graham Norton Show (BBC1, 11.05pm)

The guests tonight are very impressive, even for Graham’s usual standards – Stephen Fry, Robbie Williams, Carey Mulligan, Pink, AND Elton John. Elton John! #grahamnorton

Wild (Channel 4, 12.05am)

If you’re still a bit hyper after the Toy Show, you can watch this inspiring movie to calm down. Reese Witherspoon plays a self-destructive woman who, after the death of her mother, decides to find herself by hiking alone across America’s Pacific Crest Trail.

Everybody’s talking about: The Toy Show

Of course. Here’s a bit more behind-the-scenes info: Ryan Tubridy says he’s been preparing for his opening number by dancing around his kitchen in the mornings “in between bites of Weetabix”.

He’s advising people not to miss the start of the programme, as there’s a little surprise before the opening credits:

There’s a tiny sequence to watch out for that I quite like, nothing to do with me but it’s nice, it’s offbeat.
