What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Pick of the chat shows: Graham Norton (BBC1, 10pm)

Our Graham has his trademark unusual combination of guests, bringing together the potent cocktail of Samuel L Jackson, Keira Knightley and playboy Formula One driver Jensen Button. Music from Kasabian, but you can make a cup of tea during that part. #grahamnorton

The Bat Man of Mexico (BBC2, 9pm)

Surely tonight’s most unusual primetime viewing: Mexico’s foremost bat biologist, who spends most of his time wandering around caves ankle-deep in bat poo, takes us through his quest to save a bat that is crucial to the production of tequila. Yes, tequila. David Attenborough narrates so you KNOW this show means business.

Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents (BBC3, 9pm)

Your nightly dose of Schadenfreude arrives in the form of this oddly satisfying show where they send a load of party-mad teenagers on holiday, film them getting out of their boxes, and have their parents watch every minute and confront them afterwards. AKA your worst nightmare. Tonight: Magaluf!

What about the football? And the other chat shows?

The football: Mexico vs Cameroon at 5pm, Spain vs Netherlands at 8pm, Chile vs Australia at 11pm.

Alan Carr is talking to Pharrell Williams, Cher Lloyd and Nicole Scherzinger.

Everyone’s talking about: #GameOfThrones

Thejournal Thejournal

The finale of this fourth season airs in the US on Sunday night, and anticipation is already ramping up *extremely* high. It’s called The Children and we’ve been warned that it’s a “big action packed episode” by none other than Jon Snow himself. (But then again, he knerrs nothing.)

Anyway. Turn off your Twitter, or expect more spoilers than you know what to do with.

Or switch over for…

  • The Story Of A Child Prodigy (BBC4, 8pm) Documentary following young classical pianist Marika Bournaki
  • The Departed (More4, 9pm) Classic Scorsese movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg.
  • Twelve Monkeys (BBC2, 11.05pm)
  • Tubular Bells: The Mike Oldfield Story (BBC4, 11pm) In case your dad is staying over.
