This landmark series, originally shown in 1966 to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1916 Rising, tells the story of the rebellion through news reports and interviews. It concludes tonight with the executions of Sean McDermott and James Connolly. #insurrection

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Tubs will be joined by some of the RTÉ faces behind the Reflecting the Rising campaign (Miriam O’Callaghan, Marty Morrissey, Joe Duffy et al) in full 1916 regalia. Model Roz Purcell will be chatting about her new cookbook, and Wexford fashion designer Richard Malone will discuss his turn at Paris Fashion Week. #latelate

Dirty Dancing (TV3, 9pm)

A classic, and for good reason. The late Patrick Swayze stars as the hunky dance teacher teaching Baby (Jennifer Grey) how to mambo.

Everybody’s talking about: Good Morning Britain

GMB was forced off the air this morning after a fire broke out in the studio – fifty people were evacuated, but there were thankfully no injuries. Host Ben Shephard caught the exact moment on camera, of course:
