The Fake Sheikh exposed on Panorama (BBC One, 8.30pm)

Undercover journalist Mazher Mahmood was the News of the World’s legendary ‘Fake Sheikh’, delivering decades of exposés on prominent personalities – most recently the story about Tulisa Contostavlos and drugs. However, he was accused of lying during Tulisa’s trial, and in this programme Mahmood’s targets argue that he was the real crook.

Republic of Telly (RTÉ Two, 10pm)

Jennifer Maguire as Miriam O’Callaghan is just one of the delights awaiting you on tonight’s Republic of Telly. Also features Rosanna Davison in a bikini made of cabbage leaves. #republicoftelly

How Rich Are You? (Channel 4, 8pm)

Richard Bacon fronts an interactive programme – targeted at the UK, but likely to be relevant here too – aimed at informing viewers how rich they REALLY are in the grand scale of things. Join in, and sure you might find out you’re actually loaded.

Everyone’s talking about: that Love/Hate finale

Thejournal Thejournal

The final episode of season five delivered a nasty series of shocks – so much so that even the cast tweeted their reaction to it. It also prompted a large number of rape jokes on Twitter, which has been the subject of some controversy since. Catch up on our full recap here, test your knowledge of season five here, or just reassure yourself that you weren’t the only person who couldn’t sleep afterwards.

Or flick over for…

  • University Challenge (BBC Two, 8pm) Remind yourself how stupid you actually are.
  • Toast of London (Channel 4, 10.50pm) Beloved cult sitcom returns.
  • Knocked Up (ITV2, 9pm) Dopey but enjoyable movie about Katherine Heigl implausibly falling in love with a loser.
