Game of Thrones (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

This blood-soaked episode focuses on a few new groups – the High Sparrow’s religious army, the Sons of the Harpy, and the Sand Snakes (AKA the daughters of the late Oberyn Martell). Meanwhile, Bronn and Jaime’s trip to Dorne takes quite the turn. #gameofthrones

The Stranger on the Bridge (Channel 4, 9pm)

In January 2008, Jonny Benjamin went to the Waterloo Bridge in London to take his own life, but was talked down by a passing stranger, named ‘Mike’. Years later, Jonny finally found ‘Mike’ through social media – this documentary follows Jonny as he finally gets the chance to say thank you. #findmike

The Blind Side (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

The film that earned Sandra Bullock an Oscar and her Serious Actress status. It tells the true story of a tough Southern mom who takes in a homeless teenager and helps him realise his potential as a footballer.

Actress Sheridan Smith is earning rave reviews for her performance as Lisa Lynch in The C Word, a new cancer drama that began last night on BBC1.

Based on Lynch’s searingly honest book about her illness, the show made just about everyone cry:
