What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV Ireland, 9.30pm)

Jonathan Ross has something of a coup tonight, as Michael Caine makes his first chat show appearance in 10 years. Sylvester Stallone and Michael B Jordan are also on the couch to talk up the new Rocky Balboa film, Creed.

The Getaway Car (BBC1, 6.50pm)

This new Dermot O’Leary-fronted series is at once intriguing and terribly confusing. Five pairs of contestants travel to South Africa, where their nerve and driving skills are tested to the limit. The winning couple will face The Stig in the hopes of claiming a wad of cash. No idea, but OK! #thegetawaycar

Star Trek (RTÉ2, 9pm)

Before he was traipsing around Skellig Michael making Star Wars, JJ Abrams made this enjoyable Star Trek reboot. Chris Pine stars as Captain Kirk, while Zachary Quinto inherits the role of Spock from Leonard Nimoy.

Everybody’s talking about: Bridget & Eamon

Yesterday RTÉ released a teaser for the upcoming Republic of Telly spin-off Bridget and Eamon, starring Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O’Shea.

This first clip is a solid indication of what’s to come, and should give every 80s child intense flashbacks:
