Everyone’s talking about: Luke Perry

Luke Perry passed away at the age of 52 yesterday, leaving fans, friends and family all grieving his loss.
The actor shot to fame thanks to his role as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210 back in the 90s but was introduced to a whole new generation of fans during his time playing Fred Andrews on Netflix’s Riverdale.
Perry suffered a stroke during shooting last Wednesday and was admitted to hospital, however, passed away surrounded by his children, fiancee, ex-wife and close friends yesterday morning.
Since then, co-stars and colleagues have shared an outpouring of love for Perry, with the team behind Riverdale releasing a statement.
“We are deeply saddened to learn today about the passing of Luke Perry,” they wrote.
“A beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros. and CW family, Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all.”
Co-stars Molly Ringwald and Madchen Amick also shared their heartbreak at the news. As did Lili Reinhart who simply said on Instagram:
“I can barely find the words. I am devastated. We all are.”
Luke was filming scenes for the third season of Riverdale up until his stroke last week. Production has since stopped entirely on the show.
