What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday
EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Shelbourne (RTÉ One, 8.30pm)
This new RTÉ documentary series begins tonight, following the people working behind the scenes at Dublin’s iconic Shelbourne Hotel. Tonight’s episode sees the staff get training in etiquette. So if you ever pop in for a drink and they’re rude to you, you’ll know how to call them out.
Horizon: What’s Wrong With Our Weather? (BBC2, 8pm)
What IS wrong with our weather? It’s the question that thousands of Irish people ask themselves every day. This show is actually about changes in the weather in recent years in the UK, but we’re guessing there’ll be plenty of relevance for damp, sweaty Irish viewers too.
Die Hard 2 (Film4, 9pm)
Yippee-ki-yay! John McClane is back, and this time he’s in an airport. Classic action sequel that’s almost – almost – as good as the first one, and WAY better than Die Hard With A Vengeance. Highly enjoyable.
Everybody’s talking about: Dating Naked
Dating Naked is a show that premieres on VH1 in the US tonight, but is already generating a lot of (ahem) discussion. As the name suggests, it’s a dating show. Except the men and women are naked. All the time.
“It normally takes me three or four dates to see my girl naked, so this was a real time-saver,” says one man in the trailer. Oh right then.
Or flick over for…
