The Secret Life of 5 Year Olds (Channel 4, 9pm)

The latest iteration of the fascinating Secret Life of… series examines the social hierarchies in a group of five-year-olds. A dance contest leads to jealousy and tears, and a disagreement over what the sun’s made of causes a huge falling out. Kids, eh?

First Dates (Channel 4, 10pm)

Always a delight. This week, divorcees Shirlie and Dave get close, while another couple bond over a shared love of musical theatre. Will there be second dates? We’ll have to watch and see. #firstdates

Party Pills: Reality Bites (RTÉ2, 10pm)

An investigation into recreational drug use and drug culture in Ireland. Among those who share their stories are a recovering addict, a grieving mother who lost a son to so-called ‘legal highs’, and Minister for National Drugs Strategy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin. #realitybites

Everybody’s talking about: Strictly Come Dancing

More details have emerged of the show’s Christmas special, due to air on BBC1 on Christmas Day.

Six former contestants including Abbey Clancy, Harry Judd, Lisa Snowdon and Alison Hammond will face off in the special, which will see the return of Bruce Forsyth as host. Eee! We’re excited already.
