What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here’s what’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Child Genius (Channel 4, 9pm)

You might ask ‘why did nobody think of pitting the country’s most precocious children against each other in a battle of wits before this decade’? And you’d be right to. The answer, of course, is ‘reality TV’. A new series begins tonight.

O Sé: A Legacy (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

A profile of the life of Kerry footballing legend Paidi O Sé, who passed away recently at the age of just 57. With contributions from his family and familiar faces from the GAA community, this is likely to be an emotional hour.

Wimbledon (Highlights BBC Two, 8.30pm and BBC channels throughout the afternoon)

Strawberries! Pimms! Crisp tennis whites! Yes, Wimbledon is back, and this annual celebration of athleticism/Englishness is at full force in south London. If you’re not hooked already, start watching now and be sounding knowledgeable about net calls by Thursday. #wimbledon

Everybody’s talking about… #TrueDetectiveSeasonTwo

Facebook Facebook

The second episode of the year’s most eagerly-awaited TV show aired in Ireland last night, and had people at watercoolers across the land shaking their heads in disbelief this morning.

Let’s just say there were major developments, and the Farreller played a blinder. Bolo tie and all.

Or switch over for…

  • Broad City (Comedy Central, 11pm) Gals, laffs, the finest TV show of the last couple of years.
  • Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners (Channel 4, 8pm) Feel superior to people who are both cleaner AND dirtier than you! The perfect combination.
  • Jeff Koons: Diary of a Seducer (BBC One, 10.35pm) In-depth BBC take on this controversial artist.
  • Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents (BBC Three, 9pm) Teenagers go on holiday. Parents watch in horror.
  • Love Island (ITV2, 9pm) Remember this show? IT’S BA-ACK!
