What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The X-Files (RTÉ2, 9.55pm)

The latest case in the new series sees Mulder and Scully investigating the murder of a city official. However, it appears no human being could have committed the crime. Aliens? Aliens. #thexfiles

The Supervet (Channel 4, 9pm)

Grab the tissues, you’re going to need them. This week, the Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick looks after a Great Dane which loses the use of its back legs after suffering a slipped disc, while another pooch fights for life after being hit by a car. #thesupervet

Back In Time for the Weekend (BBC2, 8pm)

For one summer, a modern British family gave up their modern technology to live as a family would have in the ‘olden days’. In this episode, the Ashby Hawkins family go back to the 60s, where they discover Subbuteo and singer Sandie Shaw.

The two lovely granddads of Irish cinema have bagged big roles in new TV shows.

Colm Meaney has a recurring part on Will, a saucy new US drama chronicling William Shakespeare’s ‘wild’ 20s in London. Meanwhile, Gleeson will return to comedy on Australian show Mr Cranky, starring as the titular short-tempered crime boss.
