The Claire Danes Cry Face Project

What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY LUNCHTIME, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Ireland vs Germany (RTÉ Two, 7pm)

It’s a Euro 2016 qualifier for the lads in green, fresh from their 7-0 victory over Gibraltar on Saturday. Now there’s just the small matter of overcoming current world champions Germany, playing at home in Gelsenkirchen. Expect incredible scenes in the post-match analysis from Dunphy, Giles and Brady. #IRLvsGER

Homeland (RTÉ Two, 10.30pm)

Carrie returns in the fourth season of the espionage drama, with last week’s shocker of a series premiere being called a return to form by many. Tonight, she comes back to the US for an official inquiry. Claire Danes’ cryface may get another outing so. #homeland

The Apprentice (BBC1, 9pm)

YOWR FIYAAD, Lord Alan Sugar will most likely say as a fresh crop of Apprentice hopefuls line out in his madey-uppy boardroom. There are two Irish people in the mix, but still we can probably expect all the contestants to be utterly unbearable human beings. Which is of course what makes this such compelling TV. #apprentice

Everyone’s talking about: The Walking Dead

Facebook Facebook

The Walking Dead premiered its fifth season at the weekend, causing viewers internationally to chuck up their dinners in empathy. But perhaps more significant was the fact that it again cemented its place as the biggest TV show in the world right now, claiming 17.3million viewers in the US for the premiere alone. To put that in perspective, the last season of Game of Thrones averaged 18.6million viewers including all online viewings and repeats. Yowza.

  • Vincent Browne Special: Budget 15 (TV3, 11pm) Politicians face punters in the aftermath of today’s Budget measures.
  • Roadkill (Pick, 9pm) Oh, a 2011 straight-to-TV horror movie filmed on location in Ireland with Stephen Rea? Don’t mind if we do.
  • Jodie Marsh On… Plastic Surgery (TLC, 10pm) First of a series of documentaries in which the controversial bodybuilder explores taboo subjects.
  • Spandau Ballet: True Gold (UTV, 9pm) Documentary about the lads. All together now…
  • Moon (BBC4, 9pm) Critically well-received sci-fi drama about a man working alone on the moon.
