The fights! The tears! The abs! It's TOWIE. ITV

What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Only Way Is Essex (ITV2, 10pm)

It’s the season finale of TOWIE tonight, and Twitter is already bracing itself in anticipation. We’ve been promised a “shocking snog” by the producers, but let’s face it: everyone’s here to see the arguments. Features a visit to the funfair. Reliable. #towie

Father Browne’s Forgotten War (RTÉ One, 7pm)

A special Nationwide documentary on World War One, showcasing the front-line photographs of Irish chaplain Fr Frank Browne. The priest is best-known for the photos he took on board the Titanic – but also served on the Western Front, where these images of Irish troops fighting for Britain were taken.

This Old Thing (Channel 4, 8pm)

Last in the series of Dawn O’Porter’s show about vintage clothes, and she’s attempting to convince yet another high street shopper that retro style will help up her game. Cheers Dawnie!

Everybody’s talking about: Game of Thrones spoilers

HBO HBO

Arya Stark – aka actress and general social media badass Maisie Williams – has hit out at “snobby” fans of the original A Song of Ice and Fire books, who post spoilers for people watching Game of Thrones. In an excellent rant, she told TVLine:

I’m so sick of going on the internet and seeing all the book readers being snobby, spoiling it for other people – then saying, ‘Well, it’s not a spoiler. The books have been out for years’. Like, couldn’t you just stop being mad for a second and let other people enjoy the show? They feel they have a claim on the series because they read the books first, and I understand that, but they don’t need to be mean about it.

*applause*

Or flick over for…

  • Dinner for Schmucks (RTÉ One, 9.35pm) Comedy with Steve Carell.
  • Commonwealth Games (BBC1 and BBC3, 7pm) Immerse yourself in the sight of people much, much fitter than you.
  • The Outlaw Josey Wales (ITV4, 10.55pm) Classic Clint Eastwood Western.
  • Wild China (BBC4, 10pm) Animals. China. What more do you want to know?
