Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Great British Bake Off (BBC1, 8pm)
Yeeee! This week it’s the quarter finals, but more importantly, it’s Patisserie Week – and the contestants have to create cream horns, mokatines, and tiers of choux pastry. They’ll have their work cut out for them, but who’s going home? #gbbo
Maid In Manhattan (E4, 8pm)
Jennifer Lopez is at her sugary-sweet rom com best as a maid in a posh New York hotel who meets and falls in love with Ralph Fiennes’ politician. But he doesn’t realise she’s a maid! Ah! How will they ever work things out?!
Ted (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
Seth MacFarlane directs and lends his voice to this foul-mouthed comedy about a man (Mark Wahlberg) who gets his childhood wish when his teddy bear comes alive. Only he’s not as cuddly as he’d like him to be. #ted
Everyone’s talking about: The Muppets
The new, modern series of the classic show (for which Ms Piggy and Kermit have been broken up) started on US channel ABC last night to terrible reviews - it’s been given a “sexy, cynical” new feel, says Jonathan Bernstein of the Telegraph, who calls it a “tone-deaf disaster”. Don’t ruin our childhoods by watching it, then?
Or flick over for…
